Following on from the Parish Council meeting held on Wednesday 6th September, below is a brief update:
A number of Highways issues remain outstanding, Highways are aware of these and are working towards completing these, however we will be expressing how dangerous the bridge near Moorgates is with the carriageway giving way.
The bridge at Beck Hole, the fencing will be rectified, and we are still attempting for the workmanship of the repairs to be addressed.
Unfortunately, we have had very little progress with the Duchy of Lancaster with all issues and we are sending a formal letter to inform them of how unsatisfied we are with their management of Goathland common.
We have received quotes for the Coronation Tree along with a bespoke bench and will now be applying for a grant.
The seat at Water Arc will be repaired along with the bench on the village common. It was noted the noticeboards also needs oiling.
The overhanging trees on Beck Hole Road opposite the car park will be reported to Highways for urgent attention.
We do still have a vacancy for a councillor should anyone wish to join the team.
The minutes will be available in due course for a full breakdown of the meeting.
